The Artesian Hotel in Sulphur, Oklahoma is truly a hidden gem. I decided to stay there after seeing a commercial featuring this newly renovated property. As part of a multi-city road trip, I stayed one night at this location and would happily return! The rooms are spacious! Like, having to take more than 20 steps to get from the bed to the door type of spacious! Maybe I just got lucky, but my room was great. The hotel is nestled in the heart of this small town. There wasn’t much to do in the town itself, but I was completely okay with enjoying the hotels amenities.
hotel accoutrements: Spa, pool and bath house, fitness center, shops, restaurant and a casino.
BIG SPOON REVIEW:
Service: Great! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable | Spoonability: ZZZZZ – The beds are comfortable and spacious | Bum report: Crappy toilet paper, as expected | Is the vanity fair?: The usual stuff – shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. Nothing to call home about.
– GOOD TO KNOW –
This property is truly nestled in Oklahoma. There is a small “downtown” area across the street from the hotel, but most antique shops and a restaurant or two. There is a chocolate factory near by that one can visit and there are trails to hike nearby. Somehow we drifted through some streets and ended up watching buffalo roam a field. I couldn’t tell you where I was, but we were only about a ten minute car ride from the hotel. Pretty quiet town, but it’s a nice departure from the busy city life.
